About Anas Al-Assi

I build and run the systems a business depends on.

IT & Systems Specialist in Riyadh. I keep the technology a team relies on steady, and build what is missing when the existing tools stop being enough.

How the work connects

Most problems that reach IT are not only technical.

  • Behind most tickets is a process with no owner, a permission model nobody wrote down, or a tool that no longer fits the work.

  • I run the operational side directly (users, devices, accounts, access and business applications) and treat the business side with the same care: who does what, and where work changes hands.

  • When the cause is a missing system, I scope it, build it, test it, deploy it and document how it runs.

What I can own

Four areas, one line of responsibility

Operations & support

Users, devices, accounts, access and the applications a business runs on: the daily service that keeps a team working.

  • IT support and daily operations
  • End-user and device support
  • Joiner, mover and leaver access; device and employee onboarding
  • Account and permission administration
  • Asset and subscription tracking
  • Support, configuration and troubleshooting across connected systems
  • Vendor coordination

Platforms & administration

Workspace, CRM, projects and finance tools set up around how the business actually works.

  • Google Workspace administration
  • Microsoft 365
  • Zoho CRM, Projects and Books
  • Business-platform configuration and coordination
  • WordPress administration and hardening

Infrastructure & deployment

Domains, DNS, certificates, Linux servers and backups whose restore has actually been tested.

  • Domains, DNS and SSL
  • Ubuntu servers with Nginx
  • VPS hosting for several live applications
  • Backups with restores that have been tested
  • Controlled releases with a way back

Building & delivery

Workflows that outgrew spreadsheets, rebuilt as bilingual web applications and PWAs, from the first problem to production.

  • Requirements and workflow mapping
  • Internal systems and workflow improvement
  • Web applications and PWAs in PHP, JavaScript and Node.js
  • MySQL data models
  • API integration
  • Arabic and English interfaces, right-to-left and left-to-right

Sakenah

The problem
I wanted to pray on time and read the Quran consistently, and the tools I tried added friction instead of removing it.
What I built
A bilingual, installable web app: prayer times, a full Quran reader with word-by-word read-along, Khatmah planning, adhkar, tasbeeh and Qibla — tested and verified in production.

Need someone to own it end to end?

A role, a system to build or fix, or a product worth taking further: a short conversation is the quickest way to know if I am the right fit.
