I work across the whole life of a system rather than one slice of it: understanding what a team actually does each day, choosing or building something that fits, deploying it on infrastructure I manage, and staying with it afterwards.
Most of what I do is unglamorous and useful — support that resolves rather than deflects, accounts and access that stay tidy, platforms that are administered properly, manual steps replaced by something automatic, and separate systems taught to talk to each other.
The projects on this site are the visible part of that. The rest is daily operations for the people who depend on those systems.
