E-commerce Platform — storefront and order operations

Overview

E-commerce Platform is the storefront system. It is running live for a retail client — a real implementation, not a mock-up.

The storefront is Arabic-first with right-to-left layout throughout, and covers the parts of shopping a customer actually touches: finding a product, comparing options, saving something for later, adding to a cart and following an order afterwards.

The brand belongs to the client. I did not create it and I do not own it.

The business need

  • A retail brand needed to sell online without running a storefront by hand.
  • Customers browse in Arabic, so right-to-left had to be the default rather than a translation layer.
  • Products span several categories that each need their own browsing path.
  • Customers expect to be able to follow an order after they place it.

What the system does

  • A category-driven storefront with a product grid, product pages and search scoped by category.
  • Cart, wishlist and product comparison as standard customer tools.
  • Merchandising rows the brand controls — new arrivals, best sellers and collection blocks.
  • Language and currency switching in the storefront header.
  • An order-tracking entry point for customers who have already bought.

My role

  • Delivered the storefront platform the shop runs on.
  • Implemented and configured the client storefront on it.
  • Set up hosting and deployment.
  • Support the storefront after launch.
